Every run starts on the title screen. Pause any time with P or the pause button; calm mode removes flashes and screen shake.
Designer’s note
Artillery duels are old, but wind and gravity that change every turn keep the old trick fresh: you can never fully trust last turn's shot. The floating shield plates exist so that a bank shot is the clever play and the greedy one. We made the rival slightly human, which is to say, sometimes wrong.
