Designer’s note
A shield is a defensive tool until you notice that what it reflects can still explode. The design question was how to reward a long chain without letting one lucky blast decide the run, so detonations spread but the arc stays small. The glow is a vector display dream; the maths underneath is a plain angle and a radius.
